I find American slings and pronunciations rather cute. However, it's a know fact are very bad at grammar and spellings. One thing that gets my goat, is the past tense of the verb ; to drag, which is dragged and not drug, which is how the Americans say.

Sometimes its not just the ignorance, its the way its phrased. A lot of them phrase it not as open-ended questions but as yes/no questions that confirm their bias; which makes it seem that they are really not interested in learning unless its foundation is based on what they know / their ignorance is correct to begin with. Its not really 'hey what customs do you have there' as much as 'hey is my assumption correct? You do that don't you?'
